Exploring North Cornwall: finding the best beaches for soap photography
Jun 30, 2026
Last week, Sam and I each packed up a bag full of soap and headed to North Cornwall to find the perfect backdrop for some new product images.
The alarm was set for 5:30am so we could catch the early light and avoid the crowds. If you can’t tell, we take soap photography very seriously.
It’s also a pretty good excuse to be outside all day, especially in this lovely weather. We moved between beaches, stopping whenever the light looked right or when we saw a cool rock formation.
The beaches we visited were; Mawgan Porth, Holywell Bay and Perranporth.
Here’s a selection of our favourite images:

We need your help.

No.5 is the clearer winner for me
Cornwall may be convenient for your photo shoots but why not plan a van trip to Scotland and some of our amazing beaches ?
It might inspire some home nations recipes for your next collection
You should try ‘ St Nectan’s Waterfall’ in Cornwall for the next shoot, magical place worth exploring……..
I like picture 5 the best!
