Exploring North Cornwall: finding the best beaches for soap photography

Last week, Sam and I each packed up a bag full of soap and headed to North Cornwall to find the perfect backdrop for some new product images.

The alarm was set for 5:30am so we could catch the early light and avoid the crowds. If you can’t tell, we take soap photography very seriously.

It’s also a pretty good excuse to be outside all day, especially in this lovely weather. We moved between beaches, stopping whenever the light looked right or when we saw a cool rock formation.

The beaches we visited were; Mawgan Porth, Holywell Bay and Perranporth.

Here’s a selection of our favourite images:

 We need your help.

Sam and I are currently debating which images are the best. We came away with some of our favourite images to date, but we can’t agree on which ones should make the website.
Tell us what you think in the comments and help settle it.
And if you’ve got a favourite Cornish beach (or somewhere else we should take soap images next), let us know.

You are based in Rye and I think locations in that area could have been used to help promote the area. Rock a Nore or Pett for that rugged rocky background. Camber Sands or Cooden Beach where Goosup kitesurf school is for the watersports backdrop to the images. Rye Harbour nature reserve also for the back to your roots in nature vibe. Lots of potential within a decent radius of where you are from.
